Carnegie Cricket Club was established in 1955. Throughout its existence Carnegie cricket club has been wandering. The club has fielded teams consisting players who played cricket at very high standards.
However; over the last decade in line with waning loyalty of players to a single cricket clubs and scant interest in cricket by youth from the African Caribbean community; the club has struggled to retain players.
In 2017 Carnegie Cricket Club decided to embrace evolutionary change. This change is not solely in the playing area. The committee have decided to explore opportunities to ground share in an effort to be able to coach youth. By doing this; former players are on hand to pass on their knowledge of the sport. It also enables the club to increase its social membership.
